I don’t know about you, but I have certainly spent my fair share of time, effort and cash on courses, books and retreats, to help me discover the meaning of life. In fact, it’s a major block for many of us. While we spend our time searching for the seemingly hidden meaning, we often don’t get round to getting on with whatever our soul’s purpose may be.
When I was searching, I felt it was essential to look to the “Gurus”, “experts” and “authorities”, to figure out what my life’s purpose was and whether I was “heading in the right direction”. Not being 100% sure that I was heading in the right direction meant I often didn’t make any progress, at all.
I practiced every technique, recited every mantra and meditated every meditation I could find, to find the answer I was seeking.
It took me a very long time to realise I was looking in the wrong place. And that realisation set me free.
